Bounce House

We took all the kids to Jumpin Jacks yesterday. They could have stayed all day. Everyone had a good time. I enjoyed sitting in the air conditioned building watching them run from one place to another. Stephanie was brave and went down a few times. It is a place for all ages.

Cove Fort

We went to Springville and brought back Scott and Luann's kids for the week. On the way back we stopped in Cove Fort and took a tour. We found out Gwyneth is afraid of heights (like her grandma) She hated going up on the roof and looking out over the top. It poured while we were there, and we stayed in the bunkhouse and the sister missionary told us some fun stories. She showed us this cool old fashioned mouse trap the cowboys used. Also we saw the room Brigham Young stayed in when he stopped there, and his actual rocking chair. One of the quilts on the bed is the original one with the date quilted on it. It was a neat place to visit. The picture of the kids on the grass is in front of a tree planted in the 1860's.

4th of July Camping Trip

We had our annual Hawker reunion. We all went to Duck Creek campground in Cedar Canyon. We fished, hiked, had campfires, played games (volleyball, horseshoes, etc.)went geo-caching,etc. It was fun having all our kids and grandkids together for a few days. It was nice getting away from the "real world". The only injury was that Tonya and Kevin's dog got her ear all bit up by a dog in another camp. We saw a couple deer in our campground. Once again, Doug caught the most and the biggest fish. He also carved our names in a tree. How Sweet!!!!

Mandi's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Mandi's birthday a few days early. We had her cake, etc. while we were all up camping. Her grandma Francis made her an Ariel cake. The wind blew out her candles on her cake, but that was OK because she just leaned over and blew out the candles on the table(the citronella bug candles) It was so cute!! I can't believe she is 3 already.

Emily & Sam

They are growing up so fast. Emily was at our house the first time she sat in a highchair. She liked being close to us at the table. Mandi is always pushing her doll in her stroller, so I put Sam in it for a minute. He didn't like it at all, so I took him right out. Emily and Sam are trying to grab each other when we put them together now.

Sleepover

Doug & I invited Ali, Izzy, & Mandi over for a sleepover on a Wed. night a couple of weeks ago. Doug and the girls made yummy chocolate chip cookies. (There wasn't much left to cook after we ate most of the dough!) Ali brought some make-up, and they started the evening putting make up on each others eyes. They were so funny.
