Amelia - January 2026

We tend Amelia 2 days a week and we love it. She brings a lot of smiles to our lives. She loves to go to the park, or just run around outside. We go out whenever the weather is great. This month has been very warm, so we were outside a lot. She loves to swing on the log swing. She also like to play with the package mailbox. She is saying a lot of words, and learns so quickly. She is going to be 19 months old this weekend.

Last Leaves - January 10th, 2026

I can't believe it is the middle of January and we are out doing yard work. This winter has been so mild. No rain or storms at all. We have only had 2 fires in our fireplace and that was just because I wanted one. It has been very warm. Doug went out today and blew up the last of the leaves and then mowed the lawns. Hopefully, we will have a month before it starts all over again. We are getting tired of doing yard work every Saturday!!

Puzzles - January 4th, 2026

We have been working on a couple of puzzles. Here are 2 we finished this week. We love puzzles.

Selling Hawker Automotive - January 2nd, 2026

Well, it is official! Today Doug and I signed all the papers to sell the shop after 25.5 years. It is time to retire. We found a buyer and have been planning this for months, but it took time for it to all come together. It will be weird not going to work every day. Doug has had a job since he was 15, so over 55 years. We wish the new owners the best. Here are a few pictures. One is the day we opened, and then our last day. Also, a picture of the wipe off board that family has signed over the years. We have had some fun times here. Our Christmas luncheon every year for our employees is one I will always remember. I am excited to see what the future holds for us.

New Year's Eve - December 31st, 2025

I can't believe this is the last post of 2025. This year flew by. We decided to stay home and relax. We got a small Fondue set for Christmas, so we had a chocolate fondue. It was yummy. We actually went to bed at 10 pm and didn't stay up to ring in the new year.

Amelia - 18 Months Old - December 30th, 2025

Amelia is 18 months old. Here are a few extra photos of her in December. She is growing up so fast. She is not a baby anymore. She is starting to get a little hair. She says a few words. She learns things so quickly.

Christmas - December - 2025

We spent Christmas with Brad's family in Page this year. We had a good time playing fun games and having great food. This is the first time in 54 years that we were not home on Christmas Eve. The night before we left, Doug and I had a fire, and then he did day #24 on our advent calendar. Here are some pictures at their house, and then some from Scott's, Tonya's, and Jessica's houses that they all sent me. There is also a picture that Ali and Kayden sent from Disneyland at It's A Small World!!!

Here are some pictures of Brad's kids performing the Nativity while Doug read it from the Bible!
