Our son Brad is a helicopter pilot, and he called and said he needed to take his helicopter out for an hour, and if I could come to the airport he would take me for a ride. I had never flown in a small helicopter, and I was very nervous, but I knew I was in good hands. I am so glad I went. We flew all over the St George area. It was amazing. It was a beautiful morning. He tried to get me to fly with the doors off, but I just couldn't, but by the end, I wish I had of. Thanks Brad for an unforgettable experience!

Fishing - Memorial Day 2012

We decided at the last minute to go to Pine Valley for the weekend. We were surprised to find an open campsite. It was very peaceful. It was also very cold. We have never fished when it was this cold, so we were thankful to have a warm place to stay in. We both love fishing. It is so beautiful there. They have paved all the trails around the campsites, so we went on some nice walks.

 The Eclipse of the Sun

Scott's family came to Kanaraville so we could watch the total eclipse of the sun. It was the "best spot in the world" to see it from. The kids had fun wearing the special 3D glasses. It was very cool to watch, and won't happen for a long, long time again. We decided to celebrate Andrea's 6th birthday a little early, so first we went to Toquerville Falls and let the kids play in the water, and we had a picnic, cake, and presents. The kids got to ride on the 4 wheeler. It was a fun day.

Mother's Day/Jessica's Birthday - May 13th, 2012

It was a busy Mother's Day. (this is the week that sweet little Lilly should have been born, so it could have been busier...) and it was also Jessica's 29th birthday. After church we all went to dinner and then went to visit great grandma Boberg. She doesn't remember us much anymore, and she has a doll that she thinks is real,  so the doll is in some of our pictures. I am thankful for my mom and hope she knows how much I love her.

Sam's 4th Birthday - May 1st, 2012

Sam turned 4 on May 1st. He wanted a party with "The Green Lantern" theme. Jessica dropped off the decorations, etc. while they took him somewhere, so he would be surprised when they got back. We decorated the back yard, and then the family came for pizza and cake and ice cream. Grandpa hung the piñata in the tree, and the kids had so much fun hitting it. He was so excited about it all. He had a good time opening his presents. He is so cute, and growing up too fast!!!
