Day 6
Today we went back to Disney California. We rode on The "Screamer" roller coaster. We went on all our favorite rides again. The Ariel ride was one of their favorites. We went to Downtown Disney to the Lego store, and shopped for souvenirs. There is TOO much to choose from. We went back to the hotel and went swimming for awhile, and then rested before heading back. We went to the Pixar Parade, and "World of Color" water show after dark.

Today we went back to Disneyland and spent the day in Fantasyland, and Toontown. We saw all the Princesses, and Micky, Donald etc. This is the first time we got to actually go up inside the Castle. It was pretty cool. They loved it. They went on all the kids rides: Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinocchio, Frog and Toad, Canal Boats, etc. It was a Magical Day. Then we went back on all the grown up rides again. The girls are starting to get worn out!

Day 4

Today we spent the day at Disney California. The girls went on all the rides in "A Bug's Land". Their favorite was the new Radiator Springs ride. Doug waited in line for an hour for the fast pass, and when it was our turn, the wait wasn't too bad. They were so excited to go on Tower of Terror, but after the ride, they all said they would never go on it again. We went on "Soarin over California" a couple times. They loved the animation building where they took an art class and drew pictures of a Disney character. The talking turtle Crush was a big hit. They thought the 4D of "It's a Bugs Life" was funny. We left before closing and met Beth & Dave for dinner. They took us to a really nice Italian restaurant. It was good to eat something besides fast food!

Day 3
On Monday, we spent the day in Disneyland. This was the first time for all of them. It was a 15 minute walk from our hotel. They were so excited. We went on every ride we wanted. They loved Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, The Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh! Mandi didn't like the Bobsled ride with the Abominable Snowman. We didn't do any of the waiting in line for the Princesses today. They had their autograph books, but were too eager for all the rides. We rode on the Monorail, and the conductor let them ride in the control car with him. We stayed until it closed after the Parade! They were worn out so we rode the shuttle back to our hotel. (we actually rode it back all 5 nights) The girls were dressed the same each day, and we heard a lot of remarks about the cute Triplets...funny since none of them look alike at all!!!

Day 2
Beth and Dave made us a yummy breakfast of Sausage, & Egg McMuffins. Then the girls played and did homework while we packed a picnic lunch., We drove to Laguna Beach. The girls rode in Beth's convertible. It was a warm sunny day. The water was cold, but they had fun playing in the waves, building sand castles, and burying themselves in the sand. There were Dolphins and Seals swimming out in the water right in front of us. I could never get the Dolphins in the pictures, but I got some of the Seals. We went back to their house and had dinner, and then drove to our hotel. We had a suite with a separate room for the kids with bunk beds, and a sofa bed. They girls slept 2 nights in each bed, rotating so no one got the top bunk all the time. They found out they had all packed the same pj's, so they wore them the first night.

Disneyland Vacation - February 2013

Day 1- February 23rd, 2013

Keeping up with our tradition of taking our grandkids to Disneyland, it was time to take the next set of kids. This time we took Gwyneth (8), Andrea (6), and Mandi (7). They slept over the night before, and we got up early and ate breakfast, and then loaded up the van. We took MaKayla with us as far as Las Vegas. First we stopped and visited my mom at Beehive Homes, and then we stopped at MaKayla's  house in Vegas, and visited and had lunch, and then we were off to California. I had a bag of surprises, and they got to open one every hour. They all had to do with Disney. Coloring books, puzzles, lip gloss, Disney dolls, etc. It made the ride much nicer. We got to my sister Beth's house in Laguna  Beach in time to watch the beautiful sunset from her back patio. Then we had a yummy taco dinner with them. The girls had a fun bath in their whirpool bath/shower. We watched Sleeping Beauty and went to bed.

MaKayla's Prom - February 16th, 2013

MaKayla was asked to Jr. Prom by Steve Gibson. Her aunt Jessica came and did her hair and makeup. They make a striking couple in their black formal and tuxedo. This was her last formal dance. She will be graduating in May!!

Puzzles!!

We love to do puzzles, and have them set up quite regularly in our family room. One night we were tending Andy, and he wanted to help grandpa work on one of them. After he "helped"a little too much, we gave him one of his own to do. He was so excited to be just like grandpa!!

Emily's 5th Birthday - February 6th, 2013

Emily is growing up so fast. She is such a smart little girl. She loves to dance, and she is always saying the cutest things. She is a great helper when ever she comes to grandma's house. She had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese for all her pre school friends, and then we came to her family party. She told me all she wanted was a pillow that lights up in the dark. She was very happy when she opened it. I can't believe she is 5 years old, and will start Kindergarten in August!!
