Even though we didn't receive much rain this spring, the Wildflowers were beautiful. We took several walks out back in the desert, and on the trails above town. There were so many different kinds and colors. We live in a beautiful part of the country. I had over 50 photos of the flowers so it was hard to pick which ones to post here. If you look closely, you can see the St. George Temple in the background in one of the pictures!!
Easter Weekend- April 20th, 2014
On Easter Sunday we had dinner here and then we had an Easter egg hunt for the grandkids. We put money and candy in the eggs. They had fun finding them, and also playing with their cans of
"Silly String" The kids also surprised me with an early 60th Birthday cake!!!
Choral Canyon Walk-A-Thon - April 10th, 2014
Jessica's kids had their annual Walk-A-Thon at school. Each grade had a specific time that they would come and walk/run around the school track. Everyone got a school shirt and they had fun music playing and great snacks for them when they were done. The parents and other siblings could walk with them if they wanted. They had each pledged to try and go a certain distance, and they earned money for their school. It was great to see all the kids out exercising!!
Day Hike In Zion - April 6th, 2014
We had Scott's kids here for the weekend, so after General Conference we decided to go for a drive to Zion. Brad's family came with us, and we stopped on the way and picked up 3 of Jessica's kids. We drove through the canyon and found a place to pull off and hike. It wasn't one of the marked trails. We were the only people there. The kids had a lot of fun climbing on the rocks and playing near the stream. It was a beautiful day!
Piano & Violin - April 4th - 5th, 2014
Ali had her annual Violin recital. She did a great job. When she was finished playing, I took Sam outside to keep him quiet, and he found this rock and stood on it and said he was the "Statue of Liberty" I like the way the sun is casting a halo around his "torch". Also, Alex is helping Mandi & Andrea with their violin lessons.
