Andrea's Baptism - May 31st, 2014

It was a beautiful spring day for Andrea's baptism. She was baptized by her father Scott, and confirmed by her grandpa Hawker. Grandma Hawker gave a talk on Baptism, and Ellie talked about The Holy Ghost. Alex and Gwyneth played a musical number on the violin and harp. It was a beautiful service.

Andrea & Ellie's Birthdays- May 2014

We went to Springville for Andrea's party and Baptism. We brought Ali, Izzy, & Mandi to help celebrate. She had a fun party decorating tee shirts, and cupcakes. They also had fun playing with the baby chicks. Andrea turned 8, and Ellie turned 16. She was excited because she had just found out she got a job as a camp counceler for the summer!

Duck Creek - May 23-26th, 2014

Tonya & Kevin came up from Phoenix and went with us to Duck Creek for Memorial Day weekend. We had fun fishing, hiking, and relaxing. We hiked to the huge Pine Tree (reported to be the largest Pine Tree in the area!) On our way we saw a tree that had been recently hit by lightning. You could see where the strike had hit the tree and gone down to the ground and spread out. We also saw a tree that was covered in holes from a Woodpecker. We also drove (and took a wrong road) and went into Mammoth Cave. I only went in to the first chamber. This is where I saw this bat clinging to the roof. We named this "The Bat Cave" Next time I will come prepared to go all the way through the cave.

School Programs - May 9th -14th, 2014

We went to Ali, Izzy, Emily & Sam's end of year school programs. They are growing up so fast. Ali & Izzy's programs were about the history of the USA. They are both finished with elementary school and will be going to Intermediate school.  Sam's & Emily had their Kindergarten graduations.

Baseball Games - May 8th, 2014

Sam, Mandi & Ali were on baseball teams this summer. We went to as many games as we could. It is fun watching them get better each year. Sam still doesn't quite get the rules of the game.He liked to run wherever the ball was and try to get it before anyone else.  (my pictures of Ali's game didn't turn out. Mandi tried to use my camera and she changed some setting. I actually had to go to the camera store and have them fix the problem)

Gwyneth's Harp Recital - May 3rd, 2014

We drove to Springville for Gwyneth's harp recital. She is getting really good on the harp! We brought Mandi with us for some cousin time. The girls had a lot of fun. They had a sleepover in the basement, rode scooters to the creek, and the park, jumped on the trampoline, and played with the chickens.

Sam Turns 6!! May 1st, 2014

Sam turned 6 this year! He wanted a Ninja Turtle theme for his party. We met at the park and they had squirt guns, Pinata, and water games. We had pizza and cake. He got a lot of fun toys, and a warm fleece blanket, and his wiggle car!!
