We had Emily and Mandi overnight, and we took them to do errands all the next day. At about 4 pm, they asked us what was for lunch? We realized that we hadn't fed them yet...so we took them to the Pasta Factory. Yum!!!
The Pioneer Trail in Zion - February 21st, 2015
Brad and Stephanie told us about a trail they knew about , so we all went camping to Zion for the weekend. We parked next to the big old tree that is falling over. The trail is an old cement one the pioneers made to climb up the mountain to hold services outside. You can't get to it in the summer when the shuttle is running, but we drove until we found a place to park and hiked down to where it was. We saw a coyote, wild turkeys, and some skinny deer. Brad, Stephanie, Izzy, Andy and Ali all hiked to the top of Angel's Landing. (one of the steepest and most dangerous hikes in the canyon) Brad took the pictures of the kids at the very top. It is like a 1,000 ft dropoff, and they are looking over the edge....
Valentine's Day - 2015
We tended Brad's kids for the weekend, and we had fun making Valentine cookies. Then we went exploring at the new Park that is going to open by the "Dixie" hill. They each got a present from their parents that they opened before diner. Izzy wanted her hair in curlers for church the next morning, but when she got up, it was WAY too curly and we had to flat iron most of it back out!

Flight from Phoenix - February 1st, 2015
I spent a few days visiting Tonya and Kevin in Phoenix, and on the morning I was to fly home, Phoenix was socked in by fog. It is usually very sunny with blue skies, but that morning, you couldn't even see across the street. My flight was delayed a few hours. No planes landed, but they were allowed to fly out, so they had to bring planes out of the storage hangers. When we flew out of the fog, it was an amazing sight to see it from above.
