We had to drive to New Mexico to pick up a truck Doug bought, so we decided to make a detour and see the "Four Corners" monument. It is the only place in the United States that 4 states all touch each other. We stood in all 4 states at once. Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico!
Lilly's 3rd Birthday - March 28th, 2015
Lilly turned 3 today! She and her family went to Staheli farm to an Easter Egg Hunt. Then we all met up at the park for cake and presents. She was so excited to open them. Her favorites were a set of "princess" dolls. She also got a new bike. She is such a happy girl!
Snow Canyon Petroglyphs - March 21st, 2015
In the 25 years we have lived here, we had never been to the Snow Canyon Petroglyphs. We had Ali and Sam for the day, so we decided to try and find them. They are a 15 minute drive up the road. Then you hike for a few minutes, and climb over boulders, and come upon these amazing sights. There were 3 different areas. The last one, we couldn't get to because there was an 8 ft drop off to get down to them. Next time we come, we will go the long way around and hopefully find them!
Scavenger Hunt - March 19th, 2015
We had a Scavenger hunt for Sam, Emily and Andy. They were given the first clue, and then they had to figure out where to look. They looked in the piano bench, washing machine, mailbox, inside an Easter egg, and then followed footprints to the playhouse where they each opened an invitation that told them to unscramble the letters to find out where we were going. DISNEYLAND!!!
Silly Swings - March 15th, 2015
Before we left Page, we went to the school playground. They had these awesome swings. The whole family could swing on them. You had to use your legs AND arms for the swing to work. They were really fun. You could go quite fast. It was a pretty good workout. I haven't been on a swing since I was in grade school!!!
Hanging Garden Trail - March 15th, 2015
We went hiking on Rocky's birthday to The Hanging Gardens in Page, Az. It is a mountainside with a bunch of ferns growing out of it. From the top, you can look down and see Lake Powell in the distance. We ate pizza and then drove to Glen Canyon Dam.
Rocky's 2nd Birthday - March 15th, 2015
Rocky turned 2 today. We had fun playing at the park with his new rubber ball. We went hiking for a few hours and then had cake and ice cream. His favorite present was a toy helicopter that Andy gave him. He wouldn't put it down. Every time he sees a plane or helicopter, he points up at it and yells:"sky, sky, bye bye daddy"!
Page, Arizona - March 14th, 2015
Brad's family was in Page, so we went for the weekend to see where he works. While there, we went on several hikes. This one had a steep descent, and then we hiked through slot canyons. It was beautiful. Then we went to one of the boat Marinas at Lake Powell and saw all the boats in the docks. Brad took us to see where he works and I saw all the helicopters.
