Summer Fun - May 29 - 31st, 2015

When school got out, we decided to have the grandkids over as much as we could before Brad's family moved to Page. We had fun learning to cook, going to MaKayla's friend Kimberley's wedding reception, sleepovers in a fort under the table, going to the Splash pad,  putting curlers in the girls hair, picking vegetables from the garden, etc. It is fun spending time with everyone!!

Alex's Graduation / Ellie's Birthday - May 27th, 2015

Alex graduated today from Springville High School. We are very proud of him. He also played in the Orchestra, and Ellie sang in the Choir. It also happens to be Ellie's 17th birthday, so we all got together in their back yard for a bar-b-q. It was a busy but fun day.

Bette Midler - May 22nd, 2015

Beth and Dave came to town, and we drove to Vegas and went to see Bette Midler. I have always loved her singing. It was a great concert. We stayed at the MGM Grand.

Mother's Day - May 10th, 2015

It was a nice Mother's Day. I got calls and gifts from all the kids. Then we visited mom. She was very tired, and didn't know who we were. We took some 3 and 4 generation pictures. I don't know if she will be here next Mother's Day. I am so thankful for my mother and being a mother to my kids.

Las Vegas - May 5th-8th, 2015

Doug had a 3 day Napa Convention at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Tonya flew up from Phoenix to visit, and to take me shopping, etc. so I wouldn't be alone while he was in his classes. We had a fun time shopping, eating out, laying around the pool cabana we rented, and playing in the wave pool and the lazy river. Stephanie drove down for one afternoon. It was a relaxing, fun time!

Ali's Piano Recital - May 1st, 2015

Ali had her piano recital tonight. She did a great job on her song, but then after it was over, her teacher called me over and Ali played a song she had been learning just for me. She knows it is my favorite Hymn, and she had secretly been learning it. It was "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" It was a very special moment. This was her last recital, because she is taking a break from lessons for now. I would like to thank her teacher Joan Staheli for being such a wonderful teacher!

Sam's 7th Birthday - May 1st, 2015

Sam turned 7 today. It was a hot day, so he was happy to have a water party at the park with his friends and cousins. We came for cake and presents. I had a book made for him, and we gave him a remote controlled car! He is such a happy boy!
