New Years Eve - December 31st, 2015

Jessica's family came for New Years Eve. We played games, ate goodies, and at midnight the kids went out on the porch and banged pots and pans. Even Lilly stayed awake. After midnight, she came back in and started dancing to the music on the TV! Then her and Justin danced in the New Year!!!

Kitchen Helpers - December 29th, 2015

Before they left to go home, Gwyneth and Andrea helped me clean. They loved that they could climb on the top of the cupboards, and sit above the pantry. They dusted, washed, and vacuumed way up high for me. We took all the silk plants outside to spray them off. They had fun, and it really helped me out.

Anasazi Ridge Petroglyphs - December 28th, 2015

Today we decided to go to some Petroglyphs near Ivins. Scott had studied about these and posted some interesting facts about them.  This one is actually a map of the sky!! We live in such a beautiful area, and these are only a few miles from home. 

Snow Canyon Petroglyphs - December 27th, 2015

Scott's family came down after Christmas. We decided to go exploring to Petroglyphs they hadn't seen before. These are 10 minutes from our house.

Christmas Day - 2015

We woke up to a cooler full of snow on our front porch. (with the carrots from the reindeer scattered in) We skyped with Scott's and Brad's family. Then we went to Jessica's and watched them open presents. We came home and at 2 started opening our gifts, and right when we started, there was a minute of snow flurries. The kids ran out to try and catch some. Jessica said she ordered it for my present... We played games and ate lots of junk.

Christmas Eve 2015

Brad's and Jessica's family came for Christmas Eve. Andy was so excited to be able to open up Day 24 on the Advent calendar. Lilly and Andy sat by the fire discussing how Santa was going to come down the chimney... and Izzy was a Shepherd in our annual Nativity (with her hair made into a beard). The kids all got Star Wars themed pj's. Izzy played her violin. Ali read a Christmas story in honor of both Great Grandma's that are no longer here.

Phoenix - December 18-20th, 2015

We took MaKayla and went to visit Tonya and Kevin for the weekend. We drove to see some awesome Christmas lights in some of the best neighborhoods in the U.S. We sat out by the firepit and made S'Mores!. We went to church, and then picked oranges off the trees out front. Us girls shopped all day while Kevin and Doug went to the Harley Store. Their house is so beautiful. It looks like it should be in a magazine. The only sad thing was...that Cassie wasn't doing very well, and the day we left, they had to put her down. It was a very sad day for them. On the way home, we stopped at Jacob's Lake, and I brought home a cooler full of snow, so I could have snow for Christmas Eve.

Christmas Joy - December 10/11th, 2015

We decorated for Christmas, and it is so fun to watch the excitement in the little ones eyes. Lilly runs from one thing to another. She even climbed under the tree to see if she could see how it rotates. Rocky wanted to wear the different hats we have. My favorite tree is still the "grandkid tree". The kids have fun looking for themselves on the tree. We also went to the Temple Visitor Center  and saw the room full of Nativities from around the world. They even had one made from Boyd's Bears!
