Hike to "The Flag" - April 29th, 2017

For an early birthday present, we took Sam hiking. He has wanted to go to the flag for a few years. It took us 2 hours. The desert was in full bloom from all the rain. We made it to the flag. We had to climb over quite a few lava boulders. It was pretty steep in a few places. He was so happy to have made it there!!

Surgery # 2 - April 26th, 2017

Doug went back in for hand surgery. This time it only took an hour, and he didn't have general anesthetic, so he recovered very quickly. We are just hoping this surgery fixed the problem so he can have full use of his hand again. He starts physical therapy tomorrow already.

Bryce Canyon - Day 3 - April 23rd, 2017

Today we hiked down 2 miles into the canyon. There were a few drop off's. There was a log that looked like a penguin, so I had Mandi run up and kiss it. She did great hiking! We had a lot of fun. The last hike we did was to Mossy Cave and waterfall. Then we left and drove home. On the way,  we stopped in Cedar City and took Ellie out for Ice Cream! When we got home we went with Jessica's family out to Golden Corral for my birthday.

Bryce Canyon - Day 2- April 22nd, 2017

Today is my 63rd birthday. We ate at the hotel and then spent the day driving to all the beautiful lookout points. I took over 200 pictures, so it is hard to only put a few on here. One of my favorites was the Natural Bridge. We even hiked down one of the trails. It is SO pretty here. It is magical. We went back to the hotel to let Mandi swim for a little while, then we drove to a lot more spots. For dinner we went to a western dinner show at Ebenezer's Barn and Grill with the Bar G Wranglers. They even sang Happy Birthday to me!
