Doug's 64th Birthday - July 23rd, 2017

We were camping at Pine Valley, and I forgot to take my muffin tins camping, so when I got up to make Doug's birthday cake and cupcakes, I had to improvise. They fit into some oven pans I had, but when they baked, they all ran together. And I had to use a shallow pie tin for the round cake. Everyone had fun trying to figure out what "shapes" I had made!!!! Jessica made yummy Chicken Enchiladas, and brought those up for his birthday dinner, so it all ended up perfect!

Lake Powell - July 14-16th, 2017

We went to Lake Powell for the weekend. We stayed on the big boat, and took the ski boat out and had so much fun skiing, playing in the water, playing games, eating yummy food, and sightseeing. We had our own sweet little cove we stayed in. 

Mandi's 12th Birthday - July 9th, 2017

Mandi turns 12 Years Old!! She is now old enough to go to Girl's camp. She is so excited!

July 1-4th, 2017 - Duck Creek

We had a great time camping at Duck Creek for the 4th of July. Everyone caught fish. We hiked to the Ice Cave, and also through Mammoth Cave "bat cave" We ate the pancake breakfast at the Fire station, and the kids got to ride in the firetruck, etc. The granddaughters all went horseback riding. We went to the parade in the Village. The grandkids tried to chop a tree with grandpa's ax... They had fun learning how to whittle. They had fun sleeping out in the tents. Sam even caught a snake while fishing. We played lots of games, hiked to the meadow and big tree, told stories around the campfires, relaxed in the hammock. We had a deer that came through our camp each night. The weather was perfect. So nice to get out of the heat!!
