We had a luncheon/shower for Ellie today. She came to town to take her wedding photos out in the beautiful red mountains, so we threw this together. It was fun having all 9 granddaughters there. Her wedding photos turned out beautiful, and I can't wait for everyone to see them at her wedding. I want to give a huge thanks to my friend and neighbor Roxanne Petrell for making the beautiful bouquet on the spur of the moment. It looked amazing in the photos!!!
Sam's Dance - February 21st, 2019
Sam's school had their 5th grade Cotillion. They have been practicing for weeks. They had to all dress up. Each dance the boys had to ask different girls to dance. One of the dances they asked their moms to dance. After that, Sam asked me to dance. It was very special to dance with him!
Snow!! February 21st, 2019
We had a snow storm here in St.George. By the time the storm ended, we had 4 inches at our house. That is a very rare sight. Everywhere we went, we saw kids out making snowmen. School was delayed a couple hours so the busses could get around on the icy roads.

San Diego - Day 5 - February 17th, 2019
Today was our last full day here. It rained most of the day. We went to Balboa Park. We went to the Automotive museum, the Space museum, and to 2 art galleries. We also went to the Hall of Nations. They are houses that are furnished from the different countries. The architecture of the museums was amazing. The art museums were my favorite. After dinner we tried to watch the sunset, but it was cloudy and so windy and cold. We had a fun time here in San Diego!
San Diego - Day 4 - February 16th, 2019
This morning we went on a tour of the USS Midway. It was the largest Aircraft carrier in the world until 1955. Today it is a museum. There are a lot of old planes and helicopters onboard. We got to see the sleeping quarters, and the mess hall, etc. It is like a huge city.
Tonight we drove to the Coronado Hotel. It is the second largest wooden structure in the United States. When it opened in 1888, it was the single largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books.
San Diego - Day 3 - February 15th, 2019
Today we went to Point Loma Lighthouse. I love lighthouses. We went inside. It was a beautiful place. We also went in the tide pools. Then we ate lunch at a cool place called Hodad's. They had the biggest hamburgers ever! Then we went to the Mormon Battalion museum. It was very interesting to hear all about it.
