Temple Quarry Hike - January 19th, 2020

Scott's family came for Sam's Ordination, so after church, we took them on an easy hike to see the Temple Quarry Trail. It is where the early settlers blasted the rocks for the St. George Temple. It is amazing to think about them getting all that stone down the hills to the Temple sight. After the hike, Gwyneth and Andrea helped me make biscuits to go with our dinner. It was a fun day.

Sam's Priesthood Ordination - January 19th, 2020

Sam is turning 12 this year, so he was ordained a Deacon. He can now pass the Sacrament. He and Justin also gave talks in Sacrament Meeting. Scott's family came down for this special occasion. We all were in the room when they ordained Sam. It was a special day for him. Then we went back to Jessica's for a luncheon!! 

Shinob Kibe Hike - January 5th, 2020

Mandi and her friends needed to go on a hike for one of their school classes, so we took them to Shinob Kibe. It was hard to find the trailhead, but we finally did. This is one of the steepest hikes we have done here. There are a few drop offs. When you get to the top, there is an old cement arrow up there that the pilots used to follow for the old mail routes. There is a beautiful view from the top. On the way up, Mandi said she wasn't going to finish the hike, but her friends encouraged her. After she made it, she said she wants to do this one again soon!!
