Pomegranate Jelly - April 29th, 2020

Because of the Coronavirus, most of the stores are closed, and we are staying home to shelter in place as much as we can. So we have a lot of extra time on our hands. MaKayla and I decided to get out the 4 quarts of juice that has been in my freezer for a couple years, and make some jelly. It goes pretty quickly with 2 of us working together. We made 32 pint jars. I can't wait to have some on my toast!!!

Labyrinth - April 19th, 2020

After doing "Come Follow Me" for church, we picked up Mandi, Sam and Lilly. We were going to go hike at Red Cliff's recreation area, but it was too crowded, so we took them to Kayenta instead. They had never been to a Labyrinth before, so we explained the meaning of it, and how we needed to be quiet and respectful and reflect on things we wanted to let go of in our lives. Then we walked the Labyrinth. It was fun watching them go slowly and ponder things. It looks small, but it took about a half hour to complete the circle!

Denim Quilt - April 17th, 2020

I have had some cut out denim squares for a few years now, so I decided to make some quilts.  It was a lot of sewing , but I loved how they turned out. It has been a long time since I used the quilting frames that Doug made for me. I used the same flannel fabric for the back of both of them, but the squares are different sizes on one of them.

MaKayla's 25th Birthday - April 14th, 2020

For MaKayla's 25th birthday we had pizza and Cheesecake. (I stood in line for 1 hour at Costco to get her a cheesecake, and then they didn't have any....so I got it at Walmart) We had Jessica's family and Hailey, Clay and Bentley here to celebrate. I can't believe she is 25!!!!

Snow Canyon / Butterfly Trail - April 11th, 2020

We went hiking again today. Because of the coronavirus, we are only supposed to go to our local parks, etc. so we had to show I.D. to get into Snow Canyon. We took Mandi, Sam and Lilly. First they played in the sand dunes.

Next we hiked the Butterfly Trail. We ended up at the lava tubes. The kids wanted to go in them, but we didn't have any flashlights, so we will do that another time.

On the way out, we stopped and hiked to some Pioneer names under an arch. They used to picnic here, and they used axle grease to put the names on the walls of the canyon.
