Build a Bear - June 23rd, 2020

For Lilly's birthday in March, for her present I told her I would take her and a friend to Build a Bear. But because of Coronavirus, they were closed down. After 3 months, they finally opened up again, so we went today. She brought her best friend Millie. When we got there it was closed for some reason. They were so disappointed . I got a piece of paper from my purse and wrote a note that we had been there and asked them to call if they opened again. I slipped it through the bars of the door, and it landed inside the store. I took the girls to get some lunch, and while we were eating, the store called and said they found my note. I guess a worker hadn't shown up for her shift. Anyway, they told us we could come back. They are only allowing 5 people in the store at a time. The girls had so much fun making their stuffed animals. They chose the same kitty, but with different clothes. Lilly named hers Moonlight. It was fun watching them pick out the clothes.

New Windows - June 15-16th, 2020

After 30 years, it was time to get new windows in our house. I am so happy to have windows that I can clean from the inside now. I used to get so scared watching Doug climb the ladder to clean them, so this will be much safer. Mandi came and stayed here while they installed the windows so I wouldn't be here alone with the workers. They did a great job. It was hard for them to climb out the kitchen bay window to put in the new ones. But of course, after the new windows, we needed new blinds and new curtains!!! It looks so nice and clean!

Hike to Petroglyphs - June 11th, 2020

I took Lilly and we went on a hike to the Anasazi Petroglyphs. We went with some of my neighbors. We even saw a baby rattlesnake crossing the trail. They have a girl named Lily, so her and Lilly became best friends. They spent the day together swimming and playing at each others houses.

Lilly's Baptism - June 6th, 2020

After 3 months of being postponed because of Coronavirus, Jessica and Justin were finally able to have Lilly's Baptism today. She looked beautiful in her new white dress. Because of the restrictions they could only have one family at a time in the building, so we did the talks and songs, etc. There were only 9 of us there in person, but we had a lot of family joining in online, so they were able to watch the whole thing from their homes. Lilly asked the Bishop, and Justin was given permission, to administer the baptismal ordinance in Russian. (Instead of bedtime stories, she loves her daddy to tell her stories of when he went to Russia on his mission) It was very special! Then we went back to their house for a yummy luncheon and she opened her scriptures, and some presents from family.
