Here are some more pictures of our trip to Capitol Reef. We did a lot of hiking and driving. We drove through the river to get to the old water drill rig. The small town of Fruita was fun to stop and explore in. We bought a yummy pie at the Gifford house. On one of the roads we saw a snake stretched out. When we got out to see if it was alive, it slithered away. We stopped and looked through the bars of an old abandoned Uranium mine. It was fun having Mandi spend my Birthday week with us!
Capitol Reef National Park - April 21-24th, 2021
Capitol Reef National Park is a great way to spend my birthday week. We took Mandi with us. We didn't realize how big the park was until we drove for 4 hours and only saw one part of it. We had all kinds of weather today. Cold and wind, rain and snow, and hot on the hike to the arch. We went out to a nice steak dinner and they brought me out a piece of cake with a candle in it.
Sam's Band Concert - April 20th, 2021
The school is finally letting us come back in person to concerts now. So we got to go see Sam play the trombone. He did a great job.
Scott's Family Moved - April 16th, 2021
Scott and Luann bought a new house. It is not that far from their old one in Springville. It has a lot of space for them and the dogs, and chickens. We went up for the weekend to help them move the last of their stuff out of storage, etc. I hope they will be happy there.
Izzy's Graduation Party - April 11th, 2021
We went to Page for Izzy's graduation party. She had a beautiful cake. The yard was decorated really nice. There was a lot of yummy food. It was fun seeing her with her friends. We are very proud of her for graduating!
Baseball - April 10th, 2021
While we were in Page we went to Rocky, Andy, and Emily's baseball games . It was fun watching them play. I didn't take many pictures. I am glad the kids are getting back into sports now that Covid is clearing up.
Tree # 2 Gone - April 5th, 2021
We decided to have our shade tree taken out that was in front of the playhouse/shed. The roots are causing all kinds of problems with the cement. It was sad to lose a shade tree. It only took them an hour from start to finish.
