Yardwork! July 31st, 2021

Sam has been asking if he could do anything for us to earn some spending money. We told him yes!!! We are getting tired of all the yard work every Saturday. So today he came and we showed him how to blow up the fallen leaves, how to edge the grass, and how to use the lawnmower, and how to clean it and put everything away after. He had never cut a lawn before. He found out it wasn't as easy as he thought. He slept over the night before so we could get an early start before it got too hot, but it was still in the 90's. He did a pretty good job for his first time. He is going to come every Saturday if he can. I am excited for him to come and help when all the leaves fall. That takes a few weekends to get them all!!!

Doug's 68th Birthday - July 22-25th, 2021

We had a great time celebrating Doug's 68th birthday. Duck Creek is so pretty. The rain and cooler temperatures were so refreshing . We caught a lot of fish. At Aspen Mirror lake it was all chubs, but at Duck Creek we got some nice trout. We drove to Navajo Lake and walked all around . The water is very low. We played a lot of games. We had some yummy meals. The kids shot arrows, chopped lots of wood, explored all around the campsite. Brad drove us to a place called Strawberry Point. (I didn't like the drop off though). It is a lot like Bryce Canyon.

Mandi is 16!! - July 9th, 2021

Mandi turned 16 today. She is such a fun person to be around. Jessica and her went for pedicures, manicures and shopping for her new dress and shoes. We all met at Sakura for dinner and then back to her house for cake and presents. We got her a Slytherin key chain for when she gets her license.

New Appliances - July 2021

We finally decided to upgrade our kitchen appliances. Our fridge quit working so first ,we bought the fridge, and then we decided the rest of our appliances looked awful. We have had the stove for over 30 years.

Duck Creek - July 2-5th, 2021

MaKayla picked up Andy in Page (he had stayed for a baseball tournament) and brought him here. We loaded up the trailer and went to Duck Creek. We had a lot of fun fishing.

We also hiked up to our "name trees" and back at camp they rested in the hammock.

We hiked to the amphitheater, and the kids got on the stage and acted out scenes from the movie we had watched the night before called Robinson Crusoe. It was fun watching them.

We also drove to the ice cave. Rocky and Emily climbed down in using the rope they have there now. They said it was very slippery and cold in there.

They had the annual 4th of July parade in Duck Creek Village. We all wore matching shirts that Stephanie made for us. The kids liked watching all the 4 wheelers decorated with flags. They got a LOT of candy that was thrown out!
