Phoenix - Day #4 - January 16th, 2022

Today was a very quiet day. After a breakfast of bacon and eggs, Kevin went on a motorcycle ride with one of his friends. Tonya, Doug and I decided to put a puzzle together. It was a 1000 piece puzzle. Our goal was to finish the whole thing before Kevin got home for dinner. We worked on it for 7 hours, and we finished it while Kevin cooked our chicken dinner. We left it up for 5 minutes, and then we had to take it down so we could eat at the table. It was a fun challenge.

Then we finished watching the 8 hour Beatles documentary. It was amazing to see how talented they were, and to hear them perform for the last time. I will never hear these songs again without remembering them on this show!!

Phoenix - Day #3 - January 15th, 2022

Today was a girls shopping day. It was fun going to real stores.. In St. George, we don't have much to choose from as far as decorating stores go. Tonya and I went to Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, and At Home. I found some fun holiday decor, and a nightstand that I have been needing for awhile. While we were gone, Doug and Kevin built some shelves in their garage for their holiday bins. It was a good day.

Phoenix - Day # 2 - January 14th, 2022

Today is Tonya's 47th birthday. We watched her open her presents and cards.

Then we drove 2 hours to the Saguaro National Park. On the way we stopped at a cotton farm where they had the huge cotton bales. At the park we went on a couple of hikes, and also saw some Petroglyphs.

Then we drove another hour to the Titan Missile Museum. We took a tour of the underground facility. It was very interesting to see the huge missile and hear how it would have been launched. That would have been the end of our world as we know it. After the museum we ate a yummy Mexican dinner in Tucson.

Phoenix - Day #1 - January 13th, 2022

After almost 3 years (because of Covid), we were finally able to come and visit Tonya and Kevin in Gilbert. The drive through Jacob Lake was so pretty with all the snow.

Tonight, we went out in the neighborhood and picked fresh oranges. They smell so good. They are so sweet, and make the best juice ever!

For dinner Kevin cooked us a yummy roast dinner. Then we made pink cupcakes for Tonya's birthday tomorrow.

We finished the evening by watching part of a documentary about the Beatles. It was interesting to watch them in rehearsal from 55 years ago showing how they wrote a lot of their songs.
