Florida - February 19th, 2022

We flew to Florida to spend the week with Beth and Dave. Ali and Kiki picked us up at the airport. We were able to spend the evening with them. They both love their jobs here and were happy to see us! They took us to Pier Park to see the sunset and then to dinner at Dick's .

'57 Chevy - February 12th, 2022

Doug drove his chevy from the shop to our house so we could go for the first ride in it. He has spent over 550 hours restoring it so far. He did a great job, and is very proud of it. He has a few things he needs to adjust, but he is hoping to be totally finished soon. He has been saving our whole life to be able to pay for this.

Pine Park Campground - February 12th, 2022

Scott and the girls came for a quick weekend trip, and we took them to Pine Park. It is a beautiful place to hike through. The white formations are stunning. It was a real muddy dirt road getting there, but the hike was dry. We stopped for a picnic at the campground after. Where we parked, we had to crawl under a fence and hike in instead of driving, so that is probably why we only saw one other couple on the road. The truck got so muddy that we had to take it to a carwash as soon as we could find one on the way home. There was some snow in the shady spots, but the weather was perfect for hiking. Gwyneth was taking a lot of really cool photos, and I think this one of a plant growing is amazing. She has a real eye for photography!

Emily is 14!! February 6th, 2022

While we were in Page this weekend, we celebrated Emily's 14th birthday. She loves to bake and so she made her own cake. It turned out great and was very yummy. I loved the fresh strawberries in the middle. She had her friends come for dinner, cake, and presents. She is very fun to be around.

Antelope Canyon - February 5th, 2022

For Christmas Brad's family gave us tickets for the upper Antelope Canyon tour, so we came to Page and went on the tour today. Our guide Cindy was great. She helped everyone with the settings on our phones, and we got some beautiful pictures. Because of Covid, they are limiting the number of people and we only had 7 of us. It was very personalized. It was so pretty. We learned a lot about the canyon and the history. We have a lot of photos, but these are some of the best ones. The weather was cold (about 30 degrees), but the day was sunny. I would recommend this tour to everyone. I was worried about climbing down all those stairs coming back, but we went around and came back on a different side, and were actually able to see down from the top into the crack of the canyon. Amazing experience!!
