MaKayla bought a Guinea Pig a couple of months ago, and today she brought it over and we got to meet her . Her name is Chuck. (They thought it was a boy, but they were wrong...) She likes to eat fruit and vegetables. She is very quiet.
Lilly is 10! March 28th, 2022
Lilly is 10 today. She wanted some Frog presents and loved her new hoodie. We went to dinner at Golden Corral, and then back to her house for yummy strawberry cake and opened presents. MaKayla gave her a bunch of cute plants for her room.
San Felipe, Mexico - March 10-15th, 2022
We haven't been to San Felipe for 3 years, so we were excited to go again. This time we brought Sam and Lilly. We all need to have passports now, and this time we also got the Global Entry to make crossing the border much quicker. The first night we stayed in Yuma and met up with Brad's family. We drove into Mexico on Friday. It was colder and really windy. We still had a lot of fun as usual. Brad's friends came with 5 of their kids. Everyone got along really well. We played a lot of games, ate good food and snacks. On Sat. and Sunday the tide was in far enough that most of the kids got in the water. Doug and I took lots of walks on the beach. One day we all found 6 Octopus. Sam was holding one and it stung him pretty bad. Stephanie sprayed it with Windex and that helped ease the pain. On Saturday we went into town and the kids got souvenirs . Sam bought a hammock. Lilly didn't want to sit for hours and get her hair braided, so we didn't do that. One night 4 of the kids taped glow sticks to their clothes and we turned out all the lights and they did a performance. It was really cute. It was very relaxing to just hang out and do nothing. It is such a fun place for a vacation!
We celebrated Rocky's birthday the last morning there. One of the things I thought was sad, was seeing the huge brown wall separating our country from Mexico. It doesn't seem fair that we need to be separated like that. We are all God's children!!
