April 30th, 2022

We came to Page for the weekend. In the early morning we hiked to Hanging Gardens for Rocky's Ukulele concert. It was a beautiful setting. It was fun to listen to them play. He did a great job!

 Then we went to the High School for Andy's track meet. He is a very fast runner. I love watching track and field events. 

In the afternoon, I helped Emily plant some flower seeds.

Tonight we all made "popcorn and sweet stuff". This is a family favorite. We used to make it all the time when our kids were little. (We would put a sheet on the carpet to help with the mess) We watched the movie:"It's a Mad, Mad, Mad world!! It was a fun day!

My 68th Birthday - April 22nd, 2022

 We celebrated a couple of days later this time.We played yard games and had a bar b q. I got some new decor for my yard!

 

MaKayla turns 27!!! April 14th, 2022

MaKayla turned 27 today. We had a small family bar-b-q here. She will go to Page to celebrate this weekend. We love her and always like when she comes and hangs out with her "old" grandparents!!! 

Zion National Park - April 1-3rd, 2022

Tonya flew to visit us for a few days . When she got here, the "girls" went to lunch at Olive Garden. Then she spent the afternoon doing scrapbook stuff with Jessica. We had a camping trip to Zion planned, so she came with us. The weather was perfect, and the crowds were not bad at all. We rode the shuttle into Springdale and ate at the Pizza Noodle. We played Yahtzee a few times. We also rode the canyon shuttle to the end and hiked the easy trail to the Narrows. The next day we rode the shuttle up the canyon again and hiked to lower Emerald Pools. My hips were hurting and so we didn't go any further. We stopped at the lodge and took a picture by the Big tree. The last day camping we drove through the tunnel and hiked to the Petroglyphs and then to my favorite spot in the whole canyon. It is where the tree grows out of the rock. On Tonya's last day here we had a girl's day and went out to The Crepery for breakfast, and then went to the movie "The Lost City". In the evening we watched the Home and Garden channel. It was fun having Tonya visit.
