My neighbor Roxanne brought me a lot of small puzzles to do while I was recuperating from my knee surgery. They only took a couple of hours to put together. It was a fun way to pass the time. Here are a few of them. Ali and MaKayla helped with some of them.
Emily got a job when she turned 14 and saved up the money to go on a trip to the Dominican. She waited a whole year to go. They went for a week. They did a lot of service projects, and got to hang out with the local school girls. Her instructor sent pictures to her family, and then Stephanie sent some of them to me. She had a great time and met a lot of awesome people. She said it is very beautiful there. It was a fun experience. I can't wait for her to tell us all about it next time we see her!
Lilly is now 11 years old. She had a friend party last week and took 7 of her friends to House of Jump. Today, she said her school sang to her twice. Once with her real teacher and one with the substitute. Tonight we all met at Golden Corral and had dinner. Ali and MaKayla came. Then we went back to her house and had cake and presents. She got a lot of of fun stuff. She is into mushrooms this year so it was kind of a theme with her presents. We gave her a mushroom planter, and some socks with mushrooms on them. And of course, she got her number 11 Growing Up Birthday doll.
Rocky is 10! His family came to St George to celebrate his birthday a few days early. We all met at Big Shots and had a good time hitting golf balls. It was fun to see all the grandkids! Rocky is letting his hair grow out and it is getting pretty long.
