Mandi has been going to one class at Pine View High School, and the rest of her classes were online for the past 2 years. She had to work hard and get a lot more credits than she thought, but she finished with a 4.0. She did NOT want to walk in her graduation, so we just had a family brunch for her in our backyard. We are proud of her!
Today, Lilly graduated from Washington Elementary. (5th grade) We couldn't go to the ceremony, but here are some pictures. She will now go to the 6th/7th grade intermediate school.
While in town for Gwyneth's Graduation, we celebrated Scott's , Andrea's and Ellie's birthdays. Her graduation was actually on Scott's birthday. I am glad we were able to celebrate in person this time. We were able to be out on their beautiful back deck. Doug was excited to give Scott the whalebone knife he has been saving for him. It belonged to Doug's dad so it is being passed down to Scott now.
We went to Gwyneth's graduation from Springville High. It was a special day. It was nice seeing all the family. We had a pizza party at their house after. Everyone is growing up so fast. I am excited to see where life takes her.
We found 2 separate hummingbird nests in our backyard. One was built on our wind chime, and the other was out in the Oleanders. They each had 2 tiny eggs in them. The mama birds are very protective of their nests . If we get too close, they come and buzz around our heads. I could not get close to get a picture of the eggs. These pictures are from the day the babies flew away.
We don't get up to Springville that often, so I like it when Luann posts pictures of things the girls are doing. Here are some of Andrea performing in her dance class, and also of the girls at some of their recitals. One of them is Gwyneth's last performance with the Chamber Orchestra.
While I was in Page tending the kids (Brad and Stephanie went to The Dominican) I was able to go to Rocky's last baseball game of the season. It was fun watching him play. He is a very fast runner.
Today I went to lunch today with Cindy Steele. We have been friends for 30 years. We usually go to lunch every couple of months, but as her cancer progresses it has been hard to go. It is her birthday, and she has been pretty much homebound, so Bill brought her to town, and her family all met for lunch and she invited me to come. I love her dearly and don't know how many more lunches we can get together for.
Doug entered his 57 Chevy in the Lake Powell Cruisers car show in Page, Az. It was a fun day. A lot of people loved the car. The weather was perfect. It was fun seeing Brads family come out and support us. I am proud of all the hard work Doug has done on this car.
