We took Lilly to see the Halloween Decorations at the Red Hills Gardens. I didn't take many pictures. There were a lot of fun things to see.
Covid - October 22-26th
Well. it finally happened. It has been 3 years since Covid started, and we have never been sick, or ever gotten tested for it. But we have it now!!! Doug and I got flu shots last week, and a few days later we both started feeling sick. He was sick for a few days, and then I started feeling sick.We thought maybe it from from our flu shots.... It feels like a bad cold, flu, cough, stuffy nose, and feeling very tired. Doug still tried to go to work, but would go to bed when he got home. I started throwing up on Sunday morning. I found and old testing package from 2020 and decided to take a test to make sure. And it came back positive within 5 minutes. So we quarantined. Doug started feeling better and went back to work , but I am still sick. I have now lost my sense of taste. It is a weird feeling. The Dr. called in some Paxlovid and I started it, so hopefully it helps soon. I am mostly resting and watching lots of Hallmark movies!
Tuacahn - October 21st, 2023
Jessica set up a booth at the Tuacahn Saturday Market today. They have a craft fair every Saturday, so she decided to try and sell her beautiful handmade cards. She works hard on them. It was a busy crowd, but people were not interested . She hardly sold any. I felt bad for her because she was hoping to sell a lot of them. She probably has over 500 cards ready to sell. She did give out her business cards so maybe that will help.
NASCAR - October 15th, 2023
Doug got some last minute tickets from the parts house, so we took Sam and Mandi and drove to Las Vegas to the race. We each have a driver and none of ours won. It was actually a pretty boring race, and it was SO hot. After the halfway point we all decided we would rather go home because we were melting. The good part about that is that we got right out of the parking lot instead of waiting 2 hours...We found out MaKayla and her friends left early too because of the heat!
Ring Of Fire - October 14th, 2023
Today there was the Ring Of Fire Eclipse. 100 percent could be seen through the middle of the state, but here in St George we saw about 80 percent. (This picture is from someone who was in Bryce Canyon). Doug and I went out in the front yard and watched it.We saw a lot of our neighbors out watching it too. You could actually feel the temperature change during the eclipse!
Puzzle - October 10th, 2023
We finished our "Centrifuge" puzzle today. For the past 2 weeks we worked on this puzzle whenever we had a couple of hours. It was a fun one to do. We realized there are so many shades of blue, green, brown, purple, etc. We love puzzles and do a t least 2 a year.
Flowers, Flowers, Everywhere!!! October 5th, 2023
Fall is such a beautiful time for flowers. Even the pomegranates are so colorful. I wish I had way more flowers than I do!
Andy's Football Game - October 4th, 2023
We took the afternoon off and drove to Page to watch one of Andy's games. They played hard, but they lost. The other team had a lot of huge players, so they were pretty unmatched. Andy did a great job. He did make a touchdown, but the official called a foul on someone so it didn't count, but we are very proud of him. He is growing up so fast.
