Debbie's Broken Hip - January 19th, 2024

Debbie and Gordon come and visit every January (they have done this for a few years now), and they stay in their 5th wheel in our backyard. They usually stay a few days to visit, and then they go to Arizona for the winter months. Well, today, Debbie slipped in her RV and fell and broke her hip. We had to cal 911 and get an ambulance to take her to the hospital. She was in so much pain. They were able to get her right into surgery. She has a long recovery ahead of her. Gordon will stay here in his RV for the next few weeks. I feel bad for her, and that they had to cancel their trip this year!

 

Phoenix - 12-15th, 2024

We drove to Phoenix today to visit Tonya and Kevin for her birthday. We stopped at Jacob Lake and it was so windy and cold, but I loved seeing the snow. I miss snow (especially around the holidays) . We just hung out and were finally able to see all the remodeling they have done. Brand new kitchen and flooring throughout the house , and all new livingroom furniture. It is so beautiful. We started a puzzle.

The next day, Doug and Kevin went to pick up a transmission for the shop, then we all went shopping at IKEA, and Hobby Lobby, and the Candy store. We worked on the puzzle. For dinner we went to a nice restaurant called Firebirds, and had a yummy dinner to celebrate Tonya's 49th birthday. We came back and binge watched a weird reality show called Squid games.

On Sunday, Tonya and I went to Brunch with her book club group. It was nice meeting her friends. Then we went around the block and picked fresh oranges to bring home. We love fresh squeezed orange juice. We finished the puzzle, and then finished watching Squid games.

On our last day there, Kevin went on a motorcycle ride with his friends, and Tonya and I went shopping for some stuff for her scrapbook room. Then we spent hours re organizing her entire scrapbook room. It was fun. I love organizing things. That night we all watched a movie. It was a fun trip. We hadn't been there for a year and a half.
