When we got home from our trip to Zion, I found this cute little note on our counter. MaKayla and Kolten had hidden 226 little ducks all over the house. They were hidden in the fridge, in drawers, on top of things. It actually took us a few days to find them all. We were missing one, and after a few days, MaKayla told us where to find it. It was in the fridge under some ice cream topping. I had looked there a few times and somehow missed it. It was so fun looking for all of them.
For my 70th Birthday, Doug and I went glamping. We usually stay in our RV, but this time we stayed at the Zion White Buffalo Resort. We stayed in a Kiva. When we arrived, they had left a balloon boquet, and a gift basket with S'mores in it. It is a beautiful resort. We had our own balcony and hot tub. We stayed 2 nights and spent a day in Zion National Park riding the shuttle and going on a few walks.
We went for a hike this morning out in Ivins to look for Tortoises, but I guess it is too early in the season. Then we decided to go to the county fair. They used to have it in August, and we quit going because it was too hot. They have changed it to April now. It was actually kind of disappointing. Because it is so early in the spring, there were not really any animals (just a small petting zoo), and there was not any plants, or canned fruits, or foods, or pies, etc. And there were hardly any flowers. We did watch a Lumberjack show where they sawed through logs, and balanced on logs in the water. That was kind of cool. My favorite exhibit was the local artwork and photography. Also, there were some beautiful quilts.
Emily plays softball in Page with her high school team, and they travel to different schools. Today, they happened to have their last game here in St. George against Dixie High school, so we got off work early and watched her play. They did pretty good but didn't win. I am glad we got to see her play!
Mandi works in construction with Justin, and she asked if I could drop off some lunch to her one day, When I got there she was busy cutting with the saw, so I just watched her for a minute, and took some pictures before she realized I was there. She looks so cute with all her tools.
Today is MaKayla's 29th birthday, and she and Kolten had their gender reveal. There was a lot of family there to support them. They had it at a park. Hailey and Stephanie had it all decorated. We had to choose if we thought it was a boy or girl. I chose boy. It was fun waiting for them to finally pop open the confetti cannon. And it is a GIRL!!!! She will be a great mother. I am so happy for them!
After the gender reveal, we had 35 people come to our backyard for a Barbecue, and to celebrate MaKayla's birthday. We got to meet a lot of Kolten's family for the first time!
