We are getting old. Doug is now 72. We are usually camping for his birthday, so it was kind of weird being home. We went to lunch at Paula's. Then we went to the new Superman movie. He liked it. Tonight we went to dinner at the Lonestar Steakhouse. Everyone that lives here came except for Ali... Then we came back home for presents. I gave him his present last week. I bought him some nice Maui Jim sunglasses. He needed a good pair. All 4 kids called and wished him a Happy Birthday!
Mandi is 20 today. She is looking for a new job! She met Doug and I for lunch. We went to the Pasta Factory. Then tonight she came here and opened her gifts! We got her some clothes, and some fun sunglasses. She is going out with her friends so we didn't get together like we usually do with everyone for dinner. Everyone is growing up too fast!
Rocky is here for a few days, so we took him to Duck Creek. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights, but I started getting sick as soon as we arrived. I had a bad stomach ache and was very nauseated . All I could do was lay down. Doug took Rocky fishing. He caught 3 fish. Then Rocky and Doug made "pigs in a blanket" for dinner. We stayed in the trailer and watched a shark movie. I was up sick all night. The next morning Doug cooked breakfast for him and Rocky, and then took him for a hike to see his name carved in the trees. He hadn't been there for a couple of years. Then we all went to Aspen Mirror Lake, but it was hot and they only caught chubs. I got worse, so we packed up and came home. We were there for less than 24 hours. I feel bad because Rocky was excited to camp, but he was really good about it. After we got home, Rocky heard me talking about I had just started taking some new medicine before we left, so he asked ChatGPT all about it, and he told me I needed to take my medicine with meals...I had taken it when I got up, and when I went to bed. So I started taking it with meals, and was better by the next day!!!
