Beth and Dave's Visit - September 18th - 23rd, 2025

Beth and Dave are in town. They got here at 11. We went to the garment store because they don't have one close to them. We played cards and watched the British Baking show. On Friday we drove to Mesquite to a car show. My back hurt so bad so Beth and I stayed in the car and visited while they looked at the cars. Then we went to a Vintage craft show at the fairgrounds. I bought a few Christmas gifts. Beth and I are going through mom''s old photos and papers. We played games again. On Sunday instead of going to church, we went to breakfast at the Bear Paw. Yummy! We drove to Ivins to Fire Lake. Doug took us for a ride in his '57 Chevy, and we took some photos. We played Hand and Foot. Izzy and Santi came for Stew dinner and visited for awhile.

On Monday we took them to meet my neighbor Annette Everett. She is a famous sculptor and artist. We got to see her new work in progress.

Then we drove to Zions National Park. We drove through the tunnel and saw the Checkerboard Mesa. We ate lunch at the old Bumbleberry. Then we drove 2 hours to the top of Smith's Mesa. It was a beautiful view.

On Tuesday we went to the St George Temple. After the session, we toured around and showed them the Assembly hall and Baptistry. We stopped on each floor and saw all the beautiful artwork on the walls.

Their last night here we went to Tuacahn and watched The Wizard of Oz play. It was good. We couldn't take pictures during the show, but I got some of the props/sets. It was fun having them visit this week. I wished we lived closer to each other.

Rocky's Game - September 6th, 2025

We drove to Page and went to Rocky's football game. He is such a fast runner. He played well. They lost, but it was a fun game to watch. I took a lot of videos but only one photo turned out. He is #2. I love watching the kids play.

Duck Creek - September 2-4th, 2025

We came to Duck Creek. They are building a new campsite (well...remaking the old side into a nice campground) We walked around and saw all the sites. There is a huge tree that they have put a fence around to keep campers out. There are almost 100 individual sites and several group ones. It is going to be so crowded to fish here now! We picked out some of the sites we would like for next year. Mandi came up for the night and we made spaghetti and played games. The next morning we went fishing at Duck Creek, and caught 12 trout.  We were the only ones there most of the time, then we went to Aspen Mirror Lake and caught 25, but there were a lot of chubs.  The weather took a turn for the worse. As soon as it started lightning and pouring, we decided to go home a day early.
