Hebron Cemetery
While we were exploring the other day, we made a detour to the old Hebron Cemetery. There are cracked and crumbling headstones. There were some of the original wood markers left. Over 90 percent of the headstones were for little children under 2, and a lot of babies born and died the same day. A lot of couples lost 3-4 children really young. So sad!!! Someone has made all new markers for the graves, but they left the old original ones in place. The most interesting ones were 2 headstones that were way over in the corner, alone and separated from all the rest. One was for a transient, and one for an Indian Squaw. Some of the dates on the headstones were people born in the 1700's! People didn't live to a very old age back then. I am older than most of them. It was a quiet, and windblown place...just like in the old movies.
Alize's Birthday
Helicopter Flight
Pine Park
We went exploring today to a new place we haven't been to before. It is about an hour and a half from our house. The formations are from the ash from the Pine Park Caldera. The rocks were too hard to climb on. Brad got up on one but it was slippery, and the rock was crumbly. I have a video but I can't figure out how to upload it....Anyway, it was a nice day. We took the long way home though, and ended up taking hours to get home. It is an awesome place to take photos!
Gwyneth's 5th Birthday
Gwyneth turned 5 today. Scott's family came here for the baby blessing and Halloween, so we all celebrated her birthday together. She has the cutest personality. She says the funniest things.
Blessing Andrew
Andrew was blessed at church today. Doug gave him the blessing. There were a lot of family there. I only took a couple of quick pictures, because Luann took the professional ones. We had a yummy buffet after at their clubhouse. It was a very special blessing. He is a darling little baby!
Halloween Fun
It has been a busy weekend. It started out with Halloween. The grown ups and the older grandkids went to "Thriller" at Tuacahn, and Doug and I kept all the younger ones. We made popcorn " hand treats". They had a lot of fun waiting for the popcorn to come flying out of the hot air popper. We had popcorn EVERWHERE! We had a real variety of costumes. It was fun having them all here together.
