Snow Canyon - November 24th, 2019

We took Tonya and Kevin hiking to Snow Canyon. We went on a trail we hadn't been on before called Red Sands. There were a lot of cool formations. It is a beautiful area, with so many different colors.

Florida - Day #4 - November 19th, 2019

Beth went to work for a few hours, so we picked her up on our way to Gulf World. We went to the Dolphin and the Seal shows. We looked at all the exotic birds, etc. Then we went to Pier Park and ate lunch. We wandered around in all the cute shops for a couple hours. We went to the Imax to see "Ford and Ferrari" It was a good movie. (There was a smoke alarm that went off so everyone had to evacuate the theater until the fire marshall came and checked it out. ) Then we came home for dinner and another game of cards. Beth and I lost again, but we are getting better. Next time, we WILL win! We spent some time on computer going through our ancestry DNA results. What a mixed up family we all have!! It has been a great 4 days. I will add more pictures when I get home and can get them on my computer. I took a few of Beth and Dave's cute house and yard, and of the cat Jax! We packed up our suitcases because we fly out early tomorrow from Panama City Beach Airport! I will miss them until next time!

Florida - Day #3 - November 18th, 2019

Dave drove us to see the damage from Hurricane Michael from Oct. 2018. It has been a little over a year, and there is still devastation all around.  Trees are still on roofs, and most of the houses still have tarps on them. Then we picked up Beth from work. She has a beautiful office building. After, we went to lunch at a cute cafe called Barefoot Grill. It is right on the beach. (I tried Alligator meat for the first time. It actually tasted like chicken nuggets) The sand is so white and clean and soft. The Gulf is beautiful with so many different colors of blue and turqouise. Then we went to "Ripley's Believe it or Not" museum. There is a lot of interesting stuff in his collection. Tonight we went to Seaside beach and watched the sunset. It was so pretty. Then we ate left over turkey dinner while we watched the movie "Emma and Jane" We played Scrabble and Hand and Foot. It is fun having someone else learn our card games.

Florida - Day #2 - November 17th, 2019

We went to church with Beth and Dave. It is a 40 minute drive! We are so spoiled here in Utah. We can walk to church. I went into Beth's Sunday School class. I am amazed at how knowledgable the kids are about the scriptures. After church, we came back and had lunch and watched a movie. Then Doug took me to the Instacare. I have been having a lot of trouble with clogged ears since before we flew here. It is getting worse. It sounds like a robot is repeating everything I say, and the sounds in the other ear are so amplified. I can hear water running all the way down the pipes. I could not stand the organ playing in church, or the microphone. Of course, my ears looked good, and they couldn't find anything wrong. He suspects a deeper inner ear infection. They gave me a steroid shot, and a prescription for more steroids, and antibiotics. If it doesn't clear up, I need to see an ear Dr. when I get home. While we were gone to the Dr., Dave cooked us a full early Thanksgiving dinner. It was so yummy. Then we played games and cards. We watched a Christmas movie made in Africa. It was a very nice relaxing day.  Their house is beautiful. They have a lot of antiques.

Florida - Day #1 - November 16th, 2019

We got up at 3 am. We drove to Las Vegas, and then flew to Houston. Then on to Panama City Beach. Beth and Dave picked us up at the airport. It is very pretty here. It is a beach town. They have a cute house. We watched some videos, ate dinner and then played cards. It is in the mid 60's. Their cat Jax likes to sit up high and watch every thing we do.

Ali's 17th Birthday - November 5th, 2019

We went to celebrate Ali's birthday. She turned 17. She had some of her friends over and they went to Sakura for dinner. Then we came (to their new house) and had cake and ice cream, and opened presents. She is almost an adult! Where did the time go??
