Amelia - January 2026

We tend Amelia 2 days a week and we love it. She brings a lot of smiles to our lives. She loves to go to the park, or just run around outside. We go out whenever the weather is great. This month has been very warm, so we were outside a lot. She loves to swing on the log swing. She also like to play with the package mailbox. She is saying a lot of words, and learns so quickly. She is going to be 19 months old this weekend.

Selling Our 2013 Keystone Cougar - January 17th, 2026

I put or RV up for sale just to see what would happen, and the first guy that came wanted to buy it. He said it was in great condition. We have had it for almost 10 years. We have taken many fun camping trips in it. There are a lot of great memories with the grandkids fishing, etc. Doug wants to get a smaller one so we can fit in more places. I have hundreds of pictures of camping trips, but here are a few just so I can remember what it looked like. It was kind of sad seeing it drive away.

Last Leaves - January 10th, 2026

I can't believe it is the middle of January and we are out doing yard work. This winter has been so mild. No rain or storms at all. We have only had 2 fires in our fireplace and that was just because I wanted one. It has been very warm. Doug went out today and blew up the last of the leaves and then mowed the lawns. Hopefully, we will have a month before it starts all over again. We are getting tired of doing yard work every Saturday!!

Puzzles - January 4th, 2026

We have been working on a couple of puzzles. Here are 2 we finished this week. We love puzzles.

Selling Hawker Automotive - January 2nd, 2026

Well, it is official! Today Doug and I signed all the papers to sell the shop after 25.5 years. It is time to retire. We found a buyer and have been planning this for months, but it took time for it to all come together. It will be weird not going to work every day. Doug has had a job since he was 15, so over 55 years. We wish the new owners the best. Here are a few pictures. One is the day we opened, and then our last day. Also, a picture of the wipe off board that family has signed over the years. We have had some fun times here. Our Christmas luncheon every year for our employees is one I will always remember. I am excited to see what the future holds for us.
