Gwyneth's Baptism - November 10th, 2012

Gwyneth was baptized on a cold November morning. There was a storm during the night that left 10 inches of snow. It was very peaceful. Everything was so clean and beautiful, just like Gwyneth after her Baptism. She looked so pretty in her new white dress!

Ali's 10th Birthday - November 5th, 2012

Ali turned 10 this year. She had a friend party at her clubhouse, and then the family got together here to open presents and have cake. She was very excited to get her very own sewing machine.

Quilting! November 3rd, 2012

Ali came for the weekend. She has been sewing scraps from a quilt that I made her, and she is making a quilt for her little sister Lilly. I was teaching her how to tie a quilt. She did a great job!

Halloween 2012

The little grandkids got dressed up and went to visit their great grandma. (The Assisted Living home was having a Halloween party) It was the hottest Halloween I can remember. At the school parade, the kids were all sweating in their costumes. Brad's family came for the weekend, and it was fun having little ones here carving pumpkins. They are very creative. I took MaKayla to Tuacahn to see "Thriller" It was a fun Halloween.

Ali got her braces on this month. Mandi was so mad, because she wants them too! When Izzy came to visit, we had to get pictures of their "Tin Grins"

Lilly's 1st Camping Trip - October 5th, 2012

For Labor day weekend, we took our last camping trip for this year. We stayed in Zion at the Watchman Campground. Jessica, Justin and the kids came up for one night. It was Lilly's 1st camping trip. The weather was perfect. Ali brought her telescope to look at all the stars. We rode the shuttle to the Lodge and had ice cream cones, and took the traditional family picture under the big tree. (I have pictures from when our kids were little,  under the same tree) Jessica's back was hurting really bad, so they didn't go hiking. After they left, we hiked the Pa'rus Trail back to our campsite.

Alex Ordained - September 30th, 2012

Our oldest grandson Alex turned 16. He is a very talented and smart young man. We are very proud of him. He also got his drivers license, and went on his 1st date! We are happy he made the decision to be Ordained a Priest. He doesn't like his picture taken, but he let me take one before he got out of his church clothes!

New Floors - September 25th, 2012

We finally updated and got rid of our tile and carpet in our Livingroom and Kitchen. We had wood floors installed. It was a HUGE mess. We had cement dust on everything for days. It was worth it though, because the finished product is beautiful.

Andy's 3rd Birthday - September 24th, 2012

I can't believe Andy is 3 already. He has gone from a baby to a little boy overnight. He reminds me of his dad at that age. He has a shy personality, but can also be very vocal when he wants to. We took Sam with us to Vegas for Andy's party. When we sang Happy Birthday to him, he started sobbing. He didn't like the attention.

Labor Day, 2012

We took Jessica's kids and went to Duck Creek for the weekend. We fished, hiked, played games, went treasure hunting, had s'mores, feeding the ducks, etc. We went to see Navajo Lake. (we usually take the raft out, but the dam has a break in it, so the water is too low...very sad) It poured one night, so it really cooled it off. We saw a few deer. On one of our hikes, the kids each found a little "Christmas Tree" of their own. We took Sam to the grove of trees where we carve the kids name when they are old enough to make the hike. He was so excited to finally his name in the grove. We went to the "Ice Cave", but because of the hot summer, it is now a "muddy cave". The only sad part was when Mandi got stung by a bee. She was wearing my flip flops because her shoes were all wet (from playing in the stream), and she got stung on her foot. We had a great time. We LOVE camping, and being outdoors!!!
What a beautiful place we live in.
