Trip to Beth's - Day 1 - June 22nd, 2016

Part One
We flew to see Beth & Dave in Indiana. Brad took us to the St. George Airport at 6:30, and we flew to  Denver, and then to Indianapolis. The clouds from the plane were so amazing. Dave picked us up at the airport. We stopped by the Indianapolis Temple and took a few pictures. It is so green here! Part Two
We arrived at Beth and Dave's house in the afternoon. Oh My Gosh!!! They have the most beautiful yard I have ever seen. They live in the forest, down a long lane away from everyone. They have 5 acres of land. They have a Koi pond and flowers and plants, and walkways everywhere. They have some trees out front that are called Heritage River Birch. They have the most unusual bark on them. Beth has painted a lot of miniature houses, and bird houses, and benches, and fences. She has the cutest "Play House". They have a huge garden, and a workshop that is bigger than our house. The yard is so colorful, with green sprawling lawns. I love it, and could sit out here forever!!

Part Three
They have a beautiful Bengal Leopard cat named Jax. He likes to jump on the canopy bed railing, and also likes to play in the sink in the water.  The house is very unique, and it is so cozy and the views out to the yard are so soothing. Dave cooked a nice Spaghetti dinner, and we relaxed and visited. It started raining at bedtime, and is very, very windy out.

Summit Rock - June 8th, 2016

We spent hours out looking for the Summit Rock. (Every June, the local athletic gym hides a rock somewhere near a walking trail. This rock is worth $10,000.) We didn't find the rock, but we did see a few snakes on the trail. The first rock, we were a few feet away from the winner. Sam and Justin found the $1000 practice rock. It was very hot out. Sam got bored once and was having fun trying to see how long he could balance his walking stick on his head. I found a rock that was the right shape, but not the right rock. Maybe next year!!!

Sam's Baptism - June 4th, 2016

Sam was baptized today. He was very excited. He looked so handsome in his new white suit! We all went back to their clubhouse and had pizza and cake after. He got new scriptures, and a little Holy Ghost Box. Then all the kids went swimming. It was a great day. We had a lot of family come to town to celebrate with him.

Farm Camp - May 31st - June 3rd, 2016

We had Brad's kids here for 5 days while Stephanie and Izzy were at Girl's camp. So Emily, Andy, Sam and Lilly all went to Staheli Farm Camp for 4 mornings. They had so much fun. The cleaned the pig pen, goat pen, milked cows, learned about plants and minerals, and farm animals. They got to ride the train, and play in the awesome playground. They learned songs, and said The Pledge Of Allegiance every morning. On the day it was 110 degrees, they got to play on a big Slip n Slide.

Pine Valley - May 27-29th, 2016

We went camping to Pine Valley. We stayed in Crackfoot Campground. We took Ali and her friend Macie. We had fun fishing, and playing games, and just hanging out. We cooked our favorite Dutch Oven dinner. It was yummy! (Ali had a secret admirer that left her a cute note on our trailer steps)

Scott - May 24th, 2016

Scott's birthday happened to be the same day as Ellie's graduation, so we celebrated his birthday too. He had a Pecan Pie for his "cake" Then he did a demonstration for all of us and guests, on how to forge aluminum cans. He is making game pieces for one of his games. He has made knives, etc. He is very skilled. People were very interested!!
