We took Ali & MaKayla with us to the race. My guy definitely didn't win...but it was a great day at NASCAR! We also got to spend time at the race with Doug's brother Mike and family. (didn't get any pictures with them again...)
Page, Arizona - February 4th, 2017
We went to Page, Az. to celebrate Emily's 9th birthday. During her friend party, Brad took the rest of us, and drove us an hour away to Warm Creek Bay, through some very desolate, but stunning scenery. It was a good thing he had 4wheel drive. We got out and flew his drone. It was a lot of fun. On the way back, we stopped at Lone Rock, and Wahweap Marina. Then we had pizza and opened Emily's presents!
All Abilities Park - January 16th, 2017
There is a new park in town called The All Abilities Park. We had a couple hours today, so we went to see it. The kids had a lot of fun. The train won't be running until next month, so we will go back and ride it.
Temple Quarry Trail - January 15th, 2017
We have lived here since 1990, and had never been on The Temple Quarry Trail. Ellie was visiting from SUU, so she came with us. It was interesting to read about the Quarry, and see some of the actual stones with the holes drilled into them. The views were great. We could see all the different areas of St George. I love where we live.
Wedding Dress - January 6th, 2017
Just for fun, I got out my wedding dress from 1971, and had Ali try it on. She was surprised by the style. She thought the long train was kind of weird. I was surprised that I was once that small.....It brought back a lot of memories!
New Years - December 30-31st, 2016
On Friday, Emily came and helped me cook for hours, and she and Ali helped me decorate for our Murder Mystery Party. Everyone came as the character they would be all evening. We had a fun time. Then on New Years Eve, we all got together (even the grandkids) and played fun games until midnight when we banged pots and pans. . MaKayla brought Jonah so everyone could meet her Fiance.
Christmas - December 24-25th, 2016
We had a turkey dinner on Christmas Eve, and then did our little Nativity Pageant, and opened PJ's. We missed having everyone here. Christmas Day after church we Skyped with everyone and watched the kids open their presents.
Girls On The Run 5K - December 17th, 2016
I am so proud of Ali & Mandi. They ran their first ever 5K today. Mandi (who didn't like getting off the couch...) has been in an after school running program for 10 weeks. It is called: "Girls On The Run" She has been training twice a week. It has been great for her self esteem. Yesterday we found out Ali could sign up and race with her so she wouldn't have to run alone. It was so cold and windy. They did a great job, both coming through the finish line around 40 minutes!! We held up signs of encouragement that they saw at the halfway point. All the runners got medals when they finished. They had a great time. Mandi is ready to sign up for the next 10 week class, and Ali asked to start running in some of the city 5K's!!!
