Tonya's Heart Surgery - March 26th, 2018

Tonya went in for open heart surgery to repair her Mitro valve. They ended up using a mechanical valve. She was in so much pain, and hooked up to so many tubes and wires. She was in the hospital for a week. Kevin took great care of her. She will have a 6-8 week recovery before she can go back to work. Kevin rented a house a few minutes from the hospital, and we stayed there so we could take turns being at the hospital. She had great nurses!

Lilly's 6th Birthday - March 28th, 2018

Lilly had a Unicorn themed birthday! She had a fun party at her clubhouse with all her school friends. We had cake and ice cream and presents. We gave her a new bedding set with Unicorns and castles on it!!

Rocky Turns 5!! - March 15th, 2018

We went to Page for Rocky's 5th Birthday. We gave him a new "big boy" carseat.

Sam's 4th Grade Program - March 9th, 2018

Every year the 4th grade puts on a program about Utah. Sam got to be in the square dance. He did a great job. 

The Lizard - March 1st, 2018

Mandi was helping me one day, and somehow a Lizard came into the house. I found it on my slipper when I went to put it on. We both screamed, and were afraid to pick it up. It took us half an hour to move the slipper outside and then it wouldn't get out of my slipper. This is a picture of us laying on the floor by the back door trying to get it out of my slipper. Finally, Mandi flipped it onto the outdoor rug. Whew!!!What an adventure!

Houses !!

While in the Salt Lake area for a funeral, Scott, Tonya, and I, took a trip down memory lane and drove by the houses we used to live in. The first one is in Midvale. That is the house I lived in until I got married. (Only, it used to have pink siding) The second one is in Sandy. It is the first house we ever bought. It was in 1973. The 3rd one is in West Jordan. We lived in it from 1977(?) until 1990. Then we moved to St. George and are still in the same house now.  House in Sandy! House I grew up in. House in West Jordan! House in St. George!

Cynthia's Hand Surgery - February 2018

I went in and had Carpal Tunnel surgery on my right hand. The surgery only lasted about 30 minutes. I came home and rested most of the day. Doug took good care of me. I can't get it wet for a few weeks. I wore a big bandage for the first week, then a wrist brace for 2 weeks. I couldn't drive for 2 weeks. I had the stitches in for 3 weeks. It is healing pretty well.

  

White Pockets - Feb. 4th, 2018

While we were in Page, we went exploring and hiking to White Pockets in the Vermillion Cliffs area near Kanab. We went on a dirt road for ever to get to it. It is the most amazing place. The formations are so beautiful. The colors were so brilliant. 

Car Crash Canyon - Feb. 3rd, 2018

We spent the weekend in Page, and Brad's family took us to "Car Crash Canyon". It was cool to see all the old cars that had been pushed over the edge of a cliff. The kids all climbed up onto a tall tower. Izzy went really high up!
