Mandi is 16!! - July 9th, 2021

Mandi turned 16 today. She is such a fun person to be around. Jessica and her went for pedicures, manicures and shopping for her new dress and shoes. We all met at Sakura for dinner and then back to her house for cake and presents. We got her a Slytherin key chain for when she gets her license.

New Appliances - July 2021

We finally decided to upgrade our kitchen appliances. Our fridge quit working so first ,we bought the fridge, and then we decided the rest of our appliances looked awful. We have had the stove for over 30 years.

Duck Creek - July 2-5th, 2021

MaKayla picked up Andy in Page (he had stayed for a baseball tournament) and brought him here. We loaded up the trailer and went to Duck Creek. We had a lot of fun fishing.

We also hiked up to our "name trees" and back at camp they rested in the hammock.

We hiked to the amphitheater, and the kids got on the stage and acted out scenes from the movie we had watched the night before called Robinson Crusoe. It was fun watching them.

We also drove to the ice cave. Rocky and Emily climbed down in using the rope they have there now. They said it was very slippery and cold in there.

They had the annual 4th of July parade in Duck Creek Village. We all wore matching shirts that Stephanie made for us. The kids liked watching all the 4 wheelers decorated with flags. They got a LOT of candy that was thrown out!

Emily and Rocky - June 27-28th, 2021

Emily and Rocky are here for a few days while Brad and Stephanie are in Puerto Rico. Emily was getting bored so she decided to start making a denim quilt. I already had the squares cut out, so I showed her how to sew the squares together. She learned very quickly. She had fun deciding the color patters for the rows. She will hopefully work on it each time she comes to visit. Emily also started a puzzle. (Doug finished it after she left, but she got quite a bit done by herself)

Scott had given us a whole bin of Wii games and controllers.so the kids had fun playing all the Wii games.

There was a heat wave while this week. It was 115 degrees, so I took them to the "Boob Pool" They had fun swimming and going down the water tube, and climbing the climbing wall and jumping in.

Doug's Carpal Tunnel Surgery - June 1st, 2021

Doug had another hand surgery. It went well. This one was for Carpal Tunnel. As soon as he heals from this one, they are going to do his other hand and repair the damage caused from his previous surgery a few years ago. He can't lift more than 5 lbs for the next 4 weeks. He is bored already and wants to go back to work.
