We went to Page for the weekend to watch Emily in her Volleyball tournament. They played 2 games. They lost both of them. The second one the score was very close. She did a great job. Her best friend is on the same team. It was fun watching them play.
Veterans Day - November 11th, 2021
I went to Lilly's Veterans day choir at the park today. They sang a lot of patriotic songs to all the veterans who came to the park. Before they sang , the choir had all marched in the parade.
Hand Surgery Again... November 8th, 2021
On October 26th, Doug went in for hand surgery again. This time to repair the surgery he had done in 2016. They had to shave his arm before surgery. It went well. He has to wear this splint for 2 weeks. He said there wasn't very much pain.

Moving Ali to Florida - October 9 - 17th, 2021
Ali is moving to Florida for a new job, and to start the next chapter in her life. We didn't want her to drive alone, so we told her we would follow along and bring as much stuff as we could in our van. She had been sending boxes of stuff to Aunt Beth's for a month. We got up early on Saturday October 9th. We drove about 10-12 hours each day and then stopped at night to get some rest. It took us 3 days to get to Santa Rosa Beach Florida. We stopped at all the state borders for pictures. We were sad because the one for Florida was not anywhere we could park, so we never did get a picture of her going into Florida. We went from Utah to Arizona, then New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and then Florida. It was over 2000 miles each way. Ali had the navigation on in her car and so we just followed her. She did a great job of getting us there. We never took a wrong turn once. It was fun seeing all the different states. We went from the desert, to the rolling plains with no mountains, to the cotton fields, and then the beautiful green of Florida. I took a picture of her crossing the bridge over the Mississippi River. I wish we would have had time to stop and explore all the different places we went through. In Texas we stopped to visit her friend Kiki (who lived with us for 6 weeks). When we got to Florida , we stayed with Aunt Beth and Dave for 3 days. We helped Ali and her 2 roommates move everything into her beautiful new apartment. Doug put together her bed, put up her TV's, and couch, mirrors, etc. Her apartment is really nice. The 3 of them are very excited to start new jobs and live 5 minutes from some beautiful beaches. It was very hard to say goodbye because we don't know when we will see her again, and she had lived here in St George her whole life. Doug and I drove home. It took us another 3 days. It was a lot of driving, but it was fun spending time together with no other distractions.
Knee Surgery - September 10th, 2021
I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus. Dr. Parry did the surgery. He is the same one that did my shoulder surgery years ago. My knee had been hurting for a few weeks and they did an MRI and said I needed surgery. It was a quick in and out procedure with 3 small incisions. It only took about an hour. I came home and stayed off it for the day. I had to use ice every hour for 20 minutes. It has been 3 weeks and it is finally starting to feel better. I still can't go to the gym, or kneel on it, or walk very far. They said it would take at least 6 weeks to heal.
Duck Creek - September 3-6th, 2021
We had one great last camping trip for the summer. We had a nice peaceful camping spot. At night the stars were incredible. Duck Creek is beautiful. The weather was perfect. We went with Scott, Luann, Donna, Gwyneth and Andrea. They all went horseback riding. The fishing wasn't that great, but we had fun anyway catching lots of chubs!!!
