Toquerville Falls
On May 16th, we went with Brad, Stephanie and kids to Toquerville Falls. With all the rain it was flowing pretty high. I was afraid to look over the edge, so I stayed back and took pictures. Brad took Izzy right down into the river and they swam under the falls. She had so much fun. It is another place we had never been to. We like to go out exploring on the weekends and find new things to see and do.
Kite Festival
I took 3 of my granddaughters to the annual Kite Festival (they earn a kite for reading at school) Here are some fun pictures of them. It was too hot for me, but they had a good time.
Easter in Zion National Park
We had our family reunion on Zions this weekend. We've had it planned for 6 months. The weather turned out cold for here, and Jessica ended up in the hospital and could only come up for 1 day, but we had a good time. The Easter bunny found all the grandkids even up camping! We had a fun Easter egg hunt in the mountains by our campground. Good food, good company, beautiful scenery, s'mores, hiking, campfires ....It was great! Thanks to all my kids and spouses and grandkids for coming. I wish we could all get together more often. I took MaKayla, Ali, Mandi, and Izzy on a hike and we saw a family of deer up really close.

Mandi's Quilt

Mandi Lynn has been dragging her old baby quilt around for almost 5 years now and I have repaired it so many times. It is almost just a rag now, so the other day I ran to the store and bought this cute material and sewed the binding around the edge and gave it to her.I washed her old one and told her we should put it away for a keepsake. She was so excited to get the new one, but the next time she came to visit...she was dragging around the old one. Oh well, it was fun making her this one.
Valley of Fire State Park

While in Vegas, we took a day away from the city and drove to The Valley of Fire. It was an hour ride from Vegas. We spent the day exploring the Red Rocks. It looks a lot like Sedona or the red hills right here in St. George. Kevin and Tonya squeezed through some of the slots and found a cool cave. The formations were very cool!!
