We rode the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. It was about a 20 minute trip over. It was beautiful seeing the skyline from the Ferry.
Seattle - Day 2 - May 10th, 2019
After Alex's graduation, we explored downtown Seattle. We saw a lot of cool buildings. The Seattle public library was huge. There were 10 floors. It has escalators to each level. Then we went into the Columbia Center. It is the tallest building in Seattle. The view from the top was amazing.

We spent the morning in the famous Pike Place market. There are tons of vendors up and down the wharf. We ate lunch there. Then we went to Benaroya Hall to Alex's graduation from Cornish College of the Arts. We are very proud of him.
Seattle - Day 1- May 9th, 2019
Doug and I drove to Las Vegas and took a flight to Seattle. We had a stop in Sacramento. It took a total of 10 hours to get there. Scott and Luann were there, and they met us at the airport and we rode the train to downtown Seattle to Alex and Zack's apartment. They made us home made pizza for dinner. The flowers here are so pretty. (I got a new camera before we left, and I was having fun learning to take pictures with different color effects)
Sam's 11th Birthday - May 1st, 2019
For Sam's 11th birthday today, I surprised him at school and took him to lunch. He chose Little Caesar's pizza. Tonight we went to his house for cake and presents.
Bluff, Utah - Day #4 - April 22nd, 2019
Today is my 65th birthday. I love to be out exploring new places for my birthday every year!! We packed up and left Bluff. We drove through Mexican Hat, and Monument Valley. Such cool formations.
Bluff, Utah - Day #3 - April 21st, 2019
We had a great Easter Sunday. Mandi got to hunt for Easter eggs, and her basket. Then we went to church with the Jones family in the Bluff Visitor Center. Their granddaughter got to play the old organ while we sang! It was just us and them. It was special being in a room with all the pictures and art from the San Juan Pioneers. We learned a lot about Kumen Jones and his family. Then we went to the Bluff cemetery to see where a lot of the original pioneers were buried, including Jens Nielsen. It feels like a very sacred place. Tonight, we went to the Blanding cemetery to see where Kumen Jones is buried. Cherie cooked us all a wonderful ham dinner. They found out that tomorrow is my birthday, and Cherie made me a special strawberry birthday cake, and they all sang to me. It has been great seeing our old friends after all these years!
