New York City - Day 1- December 14th, 2013

My daughter Tonya has been asking me to go on trip to NYC with her for a couple of years, and finally this is the year we are going. She wanted to take me at Christmas time to see all the sights. We have a lot planned. I am so excited to see it all. I spent Friday night at Brad's house in Vegas, and Stephanie took me to the airport Saturday morning.  As soon as I walked up to the counter to check my bag, they told me my flight from Denver to  NYC was canceled because all airports on the East Coast were closed due to a huge snowstorm. I told them I still wanted to fly to Denver because I was meeting Tonya there. So I hurried and re booked us flights for tomorrow morning. Tonya didn't find out until she got to her gate. Anyway, we both flew to Denver at met up there. We rode  a shuttle to the hotel (Kevin called and arranged one for us so we wouldn't have to sleep in the airport) only to find out we had gone 30 minutes to the wrong location. The first shuttle driver told us the wrong one... The driver at the hotel was kind enough to take us to the right one. To make things worse, Tonya's luggage is lost. They have no idea where it is. We ate a bowl of Chili in hotel diner, and are going to bed. We are so sad that we have lost 1 whole day of our time in NYC. The hotel is full of people trying to find something to wear and find toothbrushes. I am one of the lucky ones who has my luggage. Let's hope tomorrow turns out better.
