We left Zurich and took a train to Lucerne. It is beautiful. Maybe my favorite in Switzerland. We were met by a local guide who took us on a tour of old town Lucerne. We went to Chapel Bridge, and the Lion Monument. It would take a long time to explain what those places are, but there is so much old history there. The buildings have paintings on them. The guide said they usually portray the family that lived there. I am so amazed by how old the buildings are. We went into a very ornate chapel. Tonight we went on a 2 hour boat ride down Lake Lucerne. We and 3 other couples got off at the halfway point, and took a cogwheel train up to the top, and ate at a very fancy restaurant. Coming back on a different boat in the dark was so pretty.
